We had a great bunch of 15 students who participated in the workshop. Thanks a lot for their enthusiasm and inquisitiveness!
We experimented with simple soft-circuits of different shapes and switches on the first day. And on the second day we focused on student projects and ideas for using soft circuits with their textile projects. We had some great ideas and visions for the future. Stay tuned to see how the projects progress!
Below are some work-in-progress pictures from the workshop.

WORKSHOP PARTICIPATION CALL:
Introduction to textile Lighting and soft circuits
Are you interested in experimenting with lights or sound in your textile projects?
This is a perfect opportunity to come and try out the new soft materials that allow you to enhance your clothing or other textile objects. No previous knowledge in the area is necessary.
The workshop will introduce you to the different new materials like conductive yarns and inks. We will cover the basics of making a soft-circuit, how to connect or stitch small lights on the textile surface and learn to build your own working lighting textiles.
We provide the lighting and conductive materials for the workshop. We will have some textile pieces for you to experiment with but please feel free to bring along your own soft materials, objects or existing projects that you would like to add light to.
